Daphne's, based in the luxurious South Kensington, is an esteemed Italian restaurant celebrated for its sophisticated ambiance, exceptional cuisine, and unwavering commitment to culinary excellence. Established in 1964, Daphne's has offered a harmonious blend of contemporary and traditional Italian dishes that have attracted some of London’s most famous residents. Our stunning conservatory can be used year-round, allowing for lots of sunlight in the summer and a cosy fire for the winter.
We are currently seeking a poised and customer-focused Maitre D’ to join our dynamic team. As a Maitre D’, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their experience at our restaurant. If you have a passion for hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and are committed to delivering top-notch service, we invite you to be a welcoming presence at our beautiful restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Manage reservations, ensuring accurate and efficient table assignments.
- Open Table and/or Seven Rooms experience.
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Answer phone calls and inquiries, providing information and assistance.
- Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and organized.
- Uphold the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Maitre D’ in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive and friendly demeanour.
