We are currently seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Sommelier to join our esteemed wine team. As a Senior Sommelier, you will play a pivotal role in curating our extensive wine list, providing expert guidance to guests, and contributing to the overall excellence of our dining experience. If you have a passion for wine, a wealth of knowledge in oenology, and a proven track record of elevating the dining experience, we invite you to be a key influencer at our restaurant. Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and curate the wine program, ensuring a diverse and exceptional selection.- Provide expert recommendations to guests, suggesting wine pairings that enhance their dining experience.- Training and mentoring the sommelier team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.- Conduct regular tastings and educational sessions for staff and guests.- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute wine-focused events and promotions.- Manage wine inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage conditions.- Stay informed about industry trends, new releases, and emerging winemakers. Requirements:- Proven experience as a Senior Sommelier or in a similar leadership role within a high-end restaurant.- Extensive knowledge of wines, regions, and varietals, supported by relevant certifications.- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.- Impeccable grooming and presentation.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently manage tasks.- Familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes.
